Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston Texas in the dance studio of her mother. At the young age of 2 she made her first appearance on television, as a child on the Don Mahoney Show for Kids. After ten years of singing and dance lessons the mother of her child and she traveled into L.A. to try and explore if a show business career was possible. Within two months she landed her first work: dancing alongside Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. She says "I am able to use my experience to sing and dance in a variety of ways." The discipline you get from it is a huge benefit for actors." O'Toole's debut role with My Three Sons was followed by appearances in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. Through the years, she's played in more than 40 series For all her success in film and television O'Toole's greatest passion is the theatre. She made the decision, when her six year run on Smallville was done, to dedicate herself to the theater. It's exactly what she's been doing since at the beginning of this decade. After moving into New York, she had her debut on stage in The Sea Gull. Her appearances have been in various off-Broadway productions, among them Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska, and Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday For Creve Couer.
